How to set up SmartDNS on Roku and NowTV
Last updated on May 27th, 2013 in Setup
Update your original IP address in our data base before using Smart DNS.
Now, that you IP is updated there is only one thing left to do. You need to change numbers of DNS servers on your device.
On Roku and NowTV it might prove difficult as it does not allow such change. But don’t worry. With SmartDNS it is not a problem (Windows Phone device owners are in very similar situation) as long as there is a router on your Home Network.
Simply changeDNS server address on your internet access device and your Roku player will be able to benefit form SmartDNS service.
We have prepared DNS tutorials for most popular routers D-Link, TP-Link and DD-WRT but if you would run into problems with setup your can always contact us – open a ticket or through live-chat.
